At Super Soccer Stars, we use the soccer ball as the vehicle to help children not only improve their soccer skills, but also develop self-confidence, improve gross motor skills, hone socialization skills and more.
Philosophy - We teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment. Our philosophy is
to use soccer to nurture, to build self-confidence, and to develop teamwork in every class. Our
specially designed curriculum uses positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to
ensure that each child improves at his or her own rate while having endless fun.
Class Format - All Super Soccer Stars classes are based on an age-specific curriculum created by a
combination of early childhood, soccer, and education specialists to guarantee that each child
is learning and having a blast from the moment the whistle blows.
Our class format gives our budding soccer stars a familiar framework in which they can excel
from class to class. The classes kick off with stimulating warm-up games followed by a
muscle-warming stretch to get everyone ready for action. The bulk of each class focuses on
skill-building activities and games. Individual, partner, and group activities are then introduced
to optimize the experience for each child. Every session culminates in a scrimmage game
(adapted variations for younger age groups) to familiarize each child with the structure of a
game setting, while always encouraging our young kickers with positive
reinforcement.
Coaches - All Super Soccer Stars coaches share two passions: a passion for soccer and a passion for
working with children. Within this framework, our coaches bring an eclectic mix of talents and
backgrounds. Collectively, they are artists, musicians, teachers, students and more. Many
come from the hotbeds of soccer - Brazil, Italy, Argentina - while others come from lands as
exotic as...the Upper West Side. Such diversity allows each coach to bring a unique patience,
energy, and creative flair to every class.
