Hockey Skates

Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey Programs are programs brought to you by The Ryan Harrington Foundation and John's Team.

General Information
  • Saturdays until Early March 2015.
  • Sign up at the Somerville Rink Mondays & Weds 6:30-7:30 pm until the program begins, then on/after Oct 18th 8:00-10:30am Saturday(s)
  • Will have ongoing Registration (Ages 3 and up)

Required Equipment for LTS & LTPH
  • LEARN TO SKATE – Elbow and knee pads, white hockey helmet (no bike helmets)
  • LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY – Elbow and knee pads, chest protector, shin guards, hockey helmet, hockey gloves, hockey
  • pants, hockey socks, hockey protector cup.
  • We do have some equipment bags for FIRST TIME PLAYERS only, first come-first serve
  • PLEASE NOTE: that Somerville Youth Hockey requires all players from Mite level and up to wear white hockey helmets and red hockey pants. If you are buying new equipment and plan to join a team at a later date you should purchase team colors.

Fees
  • There is $90 registration fee for LTS/LTPH if you are a current Somerville resident.
  • The cost of the program for a non-resident is $150.
  • All participants must register with USA Hockey.
  • Players under age 6 receive free USA Hockey registration, over 6 yrs are $48/year.
